Types of Printers

  • Foodship Cloud Printers Dependent on the internet

Terminology

  • Printer Label: Name of the printers

  • Printer Tags: Tags are like the names of the zones or areas in the restaurant, e.g: bar, kitchen, outdoor, etc

  • Printing Templates: Formatting of the receipt printout, for example, what will be included in the print, size of the font, alignment, order, etc.

  • Printers use type: For example, is the printer being used for billing and kicking cash drawers, or it is being used for order printing in the kitchen, bar, etc.

Basic Logic

Menus connect with printer tags. → Printer tags connect with printers, and printers print receipts as per the template format.

When an item is ordered, it checks what kind of tag is attached to it and sends the print to the printer, which prints it as per the template attached to it.
