4. Tax & Additional Charge
With Foodships online ordering system, taxes can be applied in two different ways, Inclusive and Exclusive Tax
Tax
Admin can only apply one tax type at a time. Both Inclusive and exclusive taxes cannot be applied together.
How to add Taxes?
Step-1 Click on tax and charges section → Select tax → Click on add new tax

In exclusive tax, more than one tax can be added, and all these are added to the subtotal.
Step 2 - Mention the required details and enable tax status
Step 3 - Click on Submit

Inclusive Tax
In inclusive tax, only one tax can be created which becomes a part of the retail price, so no more taxes are added to the subtotal.

Tax is not applied on any additional charges or delivery.
Change Tax Type
To change tax type simply follow the given steps -
Step 1 - From the tax and charges section → select tax
Step 2 - Click on change → select tax type → submit

Additional charges
Additional charges are the extra expenses included in your subtotal.
With Foodship's online ordering system admin can avail customize additional charges on different payment method
Setup an additional charge :
Step 1 - From tax and charges section → select additional charges → click on add additional charges

Step 2 - Fill in the details of the additional charge.
The type of charge can be selected as fixed or percentage. If the percentage is selected, the additional charge will be x% of your subtotal.
Step 3 - Click on submit.
Result - An additional charge is successfully created.
Admin can enable | disable tax and additional charges from the admin panel settings, to know more click here
