The modifier are filters that help to customize a menu

Eg. A restaurant can give options to customers for pizza toppings using the modifier feature.

Types in Modifiers

Before diving into the process of creating modifiers, let's first familiarize ourselves with the available selection types in modifiers.

Modifiers have 5 Selection Type Options

1. Must Select - Option(s) in which customer must select no. of options that is/are mentioned in the Min tab.

   Eg- In Pizza, the admin inputs 3 size options - Regular | Medium | Large→ must select 1 option to proceed with the order

2. Upto - Options(s) in which customer can select upto no. of options that/are mentioned in the Min tab

   Eg - In the Make it a Meal modifier, the admin can avail upto 2 options that can be selected → customer have to select at least 1 and maximum 2 options to proceed the order.

3. Optional - Option(s) are optional, customer may or may not select them as per their choice → order will proceed further if they may or may not select any options

4. Optional with Limits - Option(s) are optional but with limits, customer can select options with no. of limit that is/are mentioned in Min Tab

   Eg. - In the Pizza section, the admin provides 5 topping options for customers to choose from. However, customers are limited to selecting a maximum of 3 options (they cannot select more than 3). The order can proceed further whether the customers select any options or not.

5. Pre-Selected - By default, the option(s) will come selected of the menu(item), regardless of whether the customer chooses the option or not → The order will proceed further.

   Also, the pre-selected option(s) will be cost-free for the customers

To create modifiers via the menu, please follow the given steps

Step 1 - From menu section → select menu → add new menu/edit menu

Step 2 - Select next → next

Step 3 - Click on submit

To create modifiers via the modifier tab, please follow the given steps

Import Modifier

To import created modifier in the menu, please follow the given steps -

Step 1 - From menu section → select menu → add new menu

Step 2 - Select next → next

Step 3 - Click on import modifiers and select modifier template → import

Step 4 - Click on submit
