Manage Modifiers

Let us understand modifiers in simple words - Modifiers are basically a filter or options that we can add to the menu while ordering.

For example - While ordering pizza customers can customize it by available options like - add onion, add mushrooms, add olives, and many more.

  • You can create modifiers and directly import them to any menu required, by clicking on the import modifier button.

  • If want, you can also create a separate modifier for any particular menu by clicking on the add modifier button.

As seen in the above image modifiers are of 4 types - Button, Notepad, spice level, and discount

Let’s see how to add all types of button modifiers in the menu

Button Modifier

To add all types of buttons follow these steps

Step 1 - Click on the “item” section

Step 2 - Click on the “modifier from the drop-down menu

Step 3 - Click on the “add new modifier” button from the top right corner

Step 4 - Enter the modifier name and select the type of modifier (here we will select button type)

Step 5 - Select the button type

Step 6 - Fill the all required details - button’s name | select shape | choose color| select text color and size | enter the price of a button.

Step 7 - Select the day and time availability, click on the “save” button

Notepad - Modifier

By selecting the notepad modifier, you can simply enable a notepad in the menu of the POS frontend.

For example - if a customer wants to give any specific instructions regarding the order, you can simply create a notepad modifier naming it - instructions.

Let's see how we can create notepad in modifier

Step 1 - Click on the “item” section

Step 2 - Click on the “modifier” from the drop-down menu

Step 3 - Click on the “add new modifier” button from the top right corner

Step 4 - Enter the modifier name and select the type of modifier - notepad

Step 5 - Click on the “save button

Manage Spice Group

You can offer the customer to select the spice level in the menu. It is required for the admin to create a spice group before adding a spice level to the menu.

→ To create a spice group for the menu, please follow these steps-

Step 1 - From the “item” section → click on “spice level from the drop-down menu and select Add New Spice Group from the top right corner.

Step 2 - Enter the name of the spice group and mention the name of the spice group level (add level by clicking on the “+ symbol)

Step 3 - Click on the “submit button

Spice Level - Modifier

Now we will add the spice group to the modifier

To add a spice group to the modifier, please follow these steps

Step 1 - Click on the “item” section

Step 2 - Click on the “modifier” from the drop-down menu

Step 3 - Click on the “add new modifier” button from the top right corner

To add a spice level modifier to the menu - firstly admin is required to create a spice group

Step 4 - Enter the modifier name and select the type of modifier - spice level

Step 5 - Select the spice group | Select whether the spice level is mandatory or not | Select the show type - button(its appearance can be customized) or drop-down type

Manage Discount Group

  • Restaurants can give a percentage and fixed discounts to the customer on a particular menu.

  • It is required for the admin to create a discount group before adding a discount group to the menu.

→ To create a discount group for the menu, please follow these steps-

Step 1 - From the “item” section → click on “Discount Group from the drop-down menu and select Add New Discount Group from the top right corner.

Step 2 - Enter the name of the discount group and select type - fixed and percentage

Step 3 - Add the discount group by clicking on the “+” symbol and click on the “submit button.

Now we will add the discount group to the modifier

To add a discount group to the modifier, please follow these steps

Step 1 - Click on the “item” section

Step 2 - Click on the “modifier” from the drop-down menu

Step 3 - Click on the “add new modifier” button from the top right corner

To add a discount group modifier to the menu - firstly admin is required to create a discount group

Step 4 - Enter the modifier name and select the type of modifier - Discount

Step 5 - Select the discount group | select the authentication ( means employees can give a discount by entering their pin) | select the show type - button (its appearance can be customise) or it drop-down type

Step 6 - Click on the “save button
