# Work Period To start a day or sale, Foodship offers a *work period* feature so that admin can obtain accurate information of *how many hours did POS frontend system work and get daily reports according to it.* * To start a sale, click on the “`work period”` button → now start taking orders on the POS frontend * Here, employees can also end the **work period** which helps the admin to view accurate detailed reports. ## Start Work Period Enter petty cash → click on `start work period`→ work period will start successfully. Petty cash can be managed via the admin panel - 1. `Custom Petty cash` -*Displays default cash → **can edit it** and start the work period with any cash (can change default cash from admin panel)* 2. `Default petty cash` -
